1 A Crumptons Campbell

Dog Food Center owners in South Congaree delivering donated items to Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina

Kaitlyn and Craig Crumpton are the new owners of The Dog Food Center of Congaree. They are a young couple, who have two small children, who have collected and delivered a very large load of donated items to the people in North Carolina impacted by hurricane Helene.

“Kaitlyn and Craig are coordinating and organizing everything themselves. When I heard what they were doing I wanted to share something positive,” said South Congaree Mayor Cindy Campbell. “It’s very inspiring. I can’t help but want to spread the word and encourage others to do the same.”

Earlier this week Campbell donated a pallet of bottled water. And there are many more items collected by the Crumptons, who are thankful for the response from their community.

“We knew we had the resources and equipment to be able to help the people in need. With the community and our customers we were able to help on a bigger level,” said Caitlyn. “With a very short notice of when we were delivering the first load of supplies. We’re amazed with the number of people donating.”

There’s been a wide range of donations, including; diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, dog and cat food, tooth brushes, tooth paste, waters, canned food, hygiene products and more.
Despite the tragedy, Campbell said it helps to respond in a positive way.

“The impact of Hurricane Helene left us feeling deeply saddened and overwhelmed for those who suffered severe devastation and found themselves stranded,” Campbell said. “Hearing about the efforts of the Crumptons, young business owners in South Congaree, motivated me to spread the word about the work they are doing and offer my support in any way possible.”
