Dinner held on the Gervais Street Bridge, Sunday

The Dinner on the Gervais Street Bridge was held, Sunday.

It was from 4 to 8 p.m. And resulted in the bridge being closed. The dinner is a fundraiser for Congaree Riverkeeper and Canoeing for Kids. It is also a celebration of the river that flows below the quarter-mile iconic bridge.

Emile DeFelice is the founder of Soda City Market. He came up with the idea. There were about 1,000 diners expected.
