Deputies seek help to catch robbery suspect of West Columbia store
Lexington County deputies have turned to the public for assistance in identifying and locating a robbery suspect.
The suspect is wanted in connection with a Thursday morning robbery at the Circle K convenience store in the 2300 block of Augusta Road in West Columbia.
Witnesses said the suspect entered the store, selected a beverage and approached the sales counter as if he were making a purchase. The suspect then ordered the clerk to put cash and cigarettes in a bag for him, according to witnesses.
He left the store and drove away in a silver vehicle toward Leaphart Road.
Deputies have released images of the suspect that were captured by the store’s security system. He appears to be a thin black male in his 20’s or early 30’s with a shaved head. His height is approximately 5’7” to 5’9”. He was wearing grey plaid shorts, a white shirt, black and gray shoes with blue laces.
