Several people were taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after the outdoor deck they were standing on collapsed, according to a Lexington County report.

Lexington County Fire Service responded to the home on the 100 block of Able Harmon Lane in Lexington around 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.

First responders say the family was outside on the deck taking pictures when it collapsed. Eight people suffered minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital by Lexington County EMS.
