D’Alberto and Graham Attorneys and Advisors opened its newly constructed office building at 508 Meeting Street in August. Select Physical Therapy opened in January in the Brookland development, at 125 State St.

D’Alberto and Graham Attorneys specialize in commercial real estate and business law, said Samantha Collier, director of operations for the office.

Upon moving in, attorney Dan D’Alberto said “Our team is looking forward to moving into our new building in rapidly growing West Columbia,” said attorney Dan D’Alberto. “We believe that our building will be the first of many new developments there. With its proximity to downtown and great hospitality establishments, we couldn’t be more excited.”

“We are very happy to be part of the vibrant, growing West Columbia community,” added partner Michael Graham. “While this beautiful space may be new, it feels as though we are coming home. We view this move as a new opportunity to bring extraordinary value and wisdom to those we are blessed to serve.”

The two-story, 5,400-square-foot Class A office building was originally conceived by Joe Taylor, former S.C. Secretary of Commerce turned West Columbia developer.

Collier said the tenants are now getting settled in.
“We love our new building,” said Collier. Before moving in, the law firm looked at many potential sites. She also said the City of West Columbia was “fantastic” to work with as the firm prepared to move in. “When we called, they answered every question,” said Collier. “they were very responsive.”

“This is a great location for our clients on both sides of the river,” she said. Collier also described the West Columbia business community as “up and coming.”

While there are five D’Alberto and Graham staff members on the premises now, Collier said she expects that number to more than double soon as the firm expands.

In addition to being a great location for clients, Collier said she enjoys her daily drive home from West Columbia to Forest Acres.

“I love the ride over the bridge and the cityscapes,” said Collier. “It’s super pretty.” She said it’s convenient for the other staff members, too.

Brenden Blaschke is a physical therapist and the manager of Select Physical Therapy. It’s in Building Three of the Brookland Development, over the City of West Columbia’s free parking lot.

Blaschke said select offers trusted and expert physical therapy with compassion, to help you feel better. It’s at a convenient location, too.

He said you have goals and Select will help you achieve them by partnering with you throughout your healing journey.

Services include: physical therapy; recovery and reconditioning; hand therapy; occupational therapy; sports medicine; pediatric therapy; and prosthetics and orthotics.

Select also partners with employers, case managers, payers and insurers to treat and prevent work-related injuries and reduce the total workers’ compensation spending.

“We are glad to be here,” said Blaschke. He also said Select looked at other sites before choosing Brookland and West Columbia’s River District.

Blaschke said he feels like the new business is in a burgeoning area.

“So much is going on around here,” he said. “We’re in the middle of it.”
Select also got a lot of cooperation from the City of West Columbia as its property was being prepared for occupancy.

“It’s been a good relationship,” said Blaschke.

Be it new housing, hospitality establishments or retail, West Columbia is booming. And a new law firm and this physical therapy option are a testament to that growth.
