It won’t be long now. Cucinella’s Slices and Ices will open soon in the Westland Square (Food Lion) shopping center on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia. It’s a pizzeria and Italian ice restaurant.

“We’re waiting on a some regulatory procedures to be completed,” said Jimmy Mockridge. Jimmy and his wife Mary Mockridge, of Cayce, own Cucinella’s. There are locations in Florida and North Carolina, too. Jimmy said the Cunciella’s could open in a couple of weeks.
