One person died in a collision Saturday night, according to Lance Cpl. Matt Southern of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 10:05 on Boiling Springs Road, near Longview Street. The intersection is close to Edmund.

Southern said the driver of a 1998 Toyota Camry was turning left from Longview Street onto Boiling Springs Road, when a 2008 Jeep hit the Camry.

The driver of the Camry died on the scene. The driver of the Jeep was taken to the hospital with injuries.
