Lexington Police officers are assisting the South Carolina Highway Patrol with a collision investigation on South Lake Drive (SC-6) at I-20 involving several vehicles, early Wednesday morning. One vehicle involved was pushed down an embankment, according to the LPD.

Outbound lanes of South Lake Drive were closed around 5 a.m. and police asked drivers to please seek an alternate route until the road reopened. As of 6:30 a.m. police had not reported the lanes had reopened.
