A collision fatality investigation was underway, Monday morning, in the 100 block of Industrial Drive involving a Lexington County School District One school bus, work van, and motorcycle.

Seven students were on the bus and were reunified with parents and guardians. One student was injured during the crash with a minor cut on the arm and was transported by EMS. The driver of the work van was also transported from the scene by EMS. The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.

Industrial Drive, from South Lake Drive/SC-6 to Zenker Road, were closed as our officers, the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety MAIT work on the scene. All lanes of the 100 block of Industrial Drive were reopened before noon.
