There was a three-vehicle collision in Lexington Saturday at the intersection at Sunset Boulevard and Hope Ferry Road. The Lexington Police Department reported the accident before 1 p.m.

All inbound lanes into Lexington were shut down as emergency personnel assessed the situation. Police asked motorists to use alternative routes until the incident was cleared. All lanes were opened later. The cause of the collision was failure to yield right of way, according to the LPD.
