The Lexington Police Department reported a collision on Sunset Boulevard in front of the Target shopping center around 10:30 a.m., Tuesday. the crash was affecting all lanes of traffic.

The collision was caused by a driver disregarding the stop light because she was distracted by her pet who was in the vehicle, according to the LPD.

Police asked drivers to please avoid the area and be alert to emergency personnel who are on scene.
