The Lexington Police Department announced that a three vehicle collision occurred Tuesday in the 5400 block of Sunset Blvd (US-378) near Old Cherokee. The crash had multiple outbound lanes closed. Police asked drivers to please seek an alternate route until the roadway reopens.

Lanes were opened at about 1:30 p.m. The collision was caused by a driver failing to yield the right away while making a left turn, the LPD said.
