Courtyard by Marriott Hotel To Open In the City of Cayce

SpringBridge Development, LLC is pleased to announce that development will begin this year for a proposed Courtyard by Marriott with a tentative open date of fourth quarter, 2016.

The proposed Courtyard by Marriott will join a new corporate development hub in SCANA’s Otarre Pointe Development located at the I-77/I-26 intersection. The property will be positioned not only near to SCANA’s corporate headquarters, but also an Amazon distribution center, Nephron Pharmaceuticals headquarters and adjacent to the award winning Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center.

SCANA Corporation owns a majority of the land in the area, and is currently working on securing new development for the area. The subject site’s location is on Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce. The property, which is expected to begin construction this year and open in the fourth quarter of 2016, will feature 100 rooms, a Bistro with a full service bar, 683 square feet of meeting space, an indoor pool, a fitness room, a business center, a market pantry, a guest laundry room, and an outdoor patio with a fire pit and a grill. Raines Hospitality, an award winning Hospitality Management Company, based in Florence will manage the hotel.

City of Cayce Mayor, Elise Partin, shares: “We are excited to welcome Courtyard by Marriott to the City of Cayce. The Courtyard hotel, meeting space and Bistro will be great additions to our City. Cayce’s central location, access to three major interstates and our close proximity to the airport, downtown Columbia and the University of South Carolina will certainly contribute to the success of the new hotel location.”

Mayor Partin has been recognized for her focus on economic development, her strong representation of all of Cayce’s diverse residents and her efforts to promote regionalism and ethics reform while protecting taxpayer dollars.

Mayor Partin also comments “In Cayce, we have large corporations like SCANA, a Riverwalk that has more than 600,000 visitors annually and the incredible Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center that hosts national and international tournaments!”
