In an annual report released Wednesday afternoon, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said there were 1,691 deaths in the county in 2015.

Of those, 1,492 were of natural causes. There were 126 accidental deaths in the county and eight were of an undetermined cause.
There were 21 homicides and 44 suicides.
