Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in the 3600 block of Neely Wingard Road in the Leesville area of Lexington County at approximately 11:45 a.m. Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. William Eugene Sullivan, 32, of Leesville was traveling westbound on Neely Wingard Road when his vehicle crossed the center line, over corrected, and left the right side of the road striking a tree. Mr. Sullivan, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
