Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was fatally shot at a residence in the 100 block of Freedom Drive in Lexington at approximately 5:25 p.m. Sunday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Parrish Scott Phillips, 49, of Lexington was pronounced dead on the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The Town of Lexington Police Department along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is continuing to investigate the incident.
