US 321 Traffic Fatality

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of the person killed in a two-vehicle collision in Lexington County on Saturday at approximately 3 a.m. on US 321 near Phaeton Drive in Gaston.

Fisher states that Robert Adams Jr., 40, of Columbia was driving a Lincoln SUV travelling south on US 321 when a tractor-trailer also travelling south slowed to make a turn.   Mr. Adams was unable to stop and struck the back of the tractor-trailer.  Mr.  Adams died at the scene due to the injuries he sustained in the accident. 

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
