Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of the individual found deceased following a residential structure fire, Thursday night. The fire  occurred just before 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Renee Court in Gaston.

According to Fisher, Michael Henry, 56, of Gaston was pronounced dead on scene following a fire inside his residence. An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday to determine the cause of Henry’s death.

The cause and origin of the fire is being investigated by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. SLED investigates all fatal fire incidents. Coroner identifies man found dead at Gaston mobile home fire
