Richland County Coroner Gary Watts released the name of the individual who died in a vehicle crash that happened Sunday, just before 9 p.m.

A two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Mountain Brook Drive and Leesburg Road in Columbia, according to the coroner’s office.

As a result of that collision Johnny Dickerson, 67, of Leesburg Road in Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was blunt force trauma.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Columbia Police Department continue to work this case.
