Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim of a fatal hit–and-run accident that occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday.

The incident happened in the 500 Block of Westwood Drive in Chapin.
Fisher states that Darrius N. Dreher, 22, of Chapin was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple body trauma after he was struck by an unknown vehicle a she crossed the road near his home.

An autopsy will be performed on Monday to determine the cause of death.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
