Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the pedestrian who was died after being struck by a vehicle at approximately 6:25 p.m., Thursday in the 1200 block of Frink Street, Cayce.

According to Fisher, Mr. John Wesley Butler, 64, of Cayce, was walking across the road when he was struck by a vehicle; the vehicle that struck Mr. Butler did not stop. Mr. Butler was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.

The Cayce Department of Public Safety Traffic Division continues to investigate.
