Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individuals who died after being struck by twp separate vehicles in the 700 block of Sunset Boulevard just before p.m. Thursday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Rodney T. Mack, 41, of Gaston was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained. Mr. Mack was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. An occupant of that vehicle, Mr. Mack S. Rogers, approached Mr. Mack in order to render aid, and both were struck by another westbound vehicle.

Mr. Rogers, 27, of West Columbia was also pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. Neither of the drivers were injured. The West Columbia Police Department is investigating.
