Coroner identifies 2 from Missouri who died on I-26
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individuals who died in vehicle collision on Interstate 26 westbound near exit 119 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to Fisher, Mr. James G. Hoff, 78, and Mrs. Terri Lee Hoff, 75, both of Fenton, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries.
Their vehicle, driven by Mr. Hoff, struck the rear of a box truck that was stopped due to traffic. Mr. and Mrs. Hoff were wearing seat belts when the collision occurred. The driver of the box truck was not injured. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
