Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a mobile home fire that occurred in the 200 block of Golden Leaf Lane in Lexington at approximately noon on Tuesday.
According to Fisher, Miss Chloe Eve Doby, 10, of Lexington was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to injuries she sustained in the fire. An autopsy will be performed at MUSC in Charleston on Thursday to determine the cause of death.
The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
