Colonial Fort Tour is Sunday beginning at Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce

The Colonial Fort Tour:

When Cayce was the Frontier In the deep woods of colonial South Carolina, in what is now Cayce, European settlers met natives to trade at a little fort built in 1718. Walk to the site of Fort Congaree and hear its intriguing stories as we delve into the struggles of the Deerskin Economy. Walk back and hear stories of Patriots and British who met at Congaree Creek. The 2-mile history tour is about 2 hours long.

Meet Sunday, August 17th at 2 P M at the entrance to the park just beyond the Cayce Tennis Center, 1120 Fort Congaree Trail in Cayce.
