Civil War Cannon Fire this Saturday (Feb. 13) at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater

From the City of West Columbia:

Residents and visitors near the Gervais Street Bridge in West Columbia may hear a re-enactment involving cannons this Saturday. Cannons will be fired in front of Stone River at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater on Saturday at noon, to re-enact the Firing on Columbia.

The cannon fire will last approximately 15 minutes. The Columbia’s Longest Day Event is the Tenth Annual and is sponsored by the Lt. General Wade Hampton Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Questions about the event can be directed to Don Gordon at 803.237.4409
