Crews from the City of West Columbia are installing new water meters throughout its water customer service area. The new water meters feature a round transmitter that is visible on the cover of the water meter. The crews installing the new meters are leaving flyers on the front doorknobs of customers receiving the new meters.

The transmitter on top of the meter allows for more efficient readings. The transmitter is raised slightly higher on the existing lid. Please use caution when mowing or weed eating around the meter box to avoid damage to the transmitter.
