After receiving and reviewing data from the 2020 US Census, the City of West Columbia is reviewing district boundary changes to balance the number of residents between West Columbia Council Districts. The proposed districts have been reviewed by the South Carolina Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs and meet the standards of demographic balance and districting block requirements. A Public Hearing will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 6 PM, before the regularly scheduled August Special Council Meeting to discuss the proposed redistricting maps.
