City of West Columbia adds a new “State-of-the-Art” Truck to its Sanitation Department Fleet

The City of West Columbia announced Tuesday, the addition of a new 2025 sanitation truck to its Sanitation Department fleet. The new truck features custom artwork by local artist Laura Day.
The purchase of the truck was made possible, in part, through a $71,900 grant from the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) Program, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The grant helped replace an older, 2004 model. The new truck is considered a state-of-the-art, low-emission vehicle.
