The City of Cayce is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Assistant City Manager, Mr. Wesley K. Crosby.

A sample of Crosby’s duties will include special projects and community development. Crosby comes to Cayce with more than 20 years of experience in public administration, project management, and grant administration. Most recently, he helped manage downtown development projects for the Town of Lexington.

Since 2005, he worked with Lexington’s Town Administration and Council in developing and implementing the Town’s vision plan that included bringing new business opportunities, quality of life projects, and other improvement to the Town. During his time in Lexington, he managed grants, oversaw the $8 million redevelopment of Virginia Hylton Park and the downtown Lexington Icehouse Amphitheater and Pavilion, as well as historic preservation projects.

The Cayce Assistant Manager position came open when Cayce’s former Deputy City Manager, Jim Crosland, moved into the City Manager role, and former Assistant City Manager, Michael Conley, transitioned into the Deputy City Manager role.

“We are excited to welcome Wesley to our city and to utilize his experience and expertise in navigating new and exciting projects coming to Cayce,” exclaimed Cayce City Manager, Jim Crosland. “Our city and our communities are growing; thus, the needs of our citizens are as well. We are known for providing excellent customer service to our local businesses, residents, and community partners. This is an exciting time for Cayce, and we look forward to Wesley stepping into his new role.”
