The City of Cayce plans to CLOSE all City parks, the Riverwalk and Timmerman Trail on Wednesday, August 30 at NOON because of the threat from Tropical Storm Idalia.
The current models from the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center predict that Idalia will weaken into a Tropical Storm Wednesday, with storm conditions lasting through Thursday morning. We are expecting several inches of rain and up to 45 mph winds. Please note that flash flooding, tornados and downed power lines and trees can occur.
