Cayce City Council passed second and final reading of its $19.7 million 2023-24 fiscal-year budget, Wednesday.

According to a flier distributed via the Cayce Sanitation Department, 43 percent of the budget is spent on the police department and 17 percent is spent on support, while 14 percent is spent on fire fighting services.

Cayce Mayor Elise Partin stated in a Facebook post:
“I hope everyone found their 2023-2024 budget fliers that were distributed on your roll carts last week. In the City of Cayce, we pride ourselves on being transparent with residents about how their funds are being used for city operations.
