Chris Smith vs Jason Guerry GOP Primary run-off vote for State Senate Seat 26 is Tuesday, Sen. Katrina Shealy faces Carlisle Kennedy in Senate Seat 23 run-off
The run-off to determine the Republican nominee for State Senate Seat 26 is Tuesday (June 25.) In the June 11, GOP primary, Chris Smith received 38% of the vote and Jason Guerry received 35%. Billy Oswald got 26%. Senate Dist. 26 is the seat that has been held by Sen. Nikki Setzler, who did not run in 2024, since 1976.
Russell Ott defeated incumbent Senator Dick Harpootlian in the Democratic Party Primary for Senate Seat Dist. 26. Ott will face the winner of the Smith-Guerry run-off in the Nov. 5, General Election.
Polls open statewide beginning at 7 a.m. and will be open until 7 p.m. Anyone standing in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote. You will need to present an ID to vote.
In another Lexington County run-off race, Incumbent GOP Lexington County State Senator Katrina Shealy (Dist. 23) will face Carlisle Kennedy. Shealy received 40% of the primary vote, on June 11, and Kennedy got 36% to force a run-off on June 25. Zoe Warren received 24% of the vote.
