Fresh new asphalt has been installed on Charleston Highway, according to the SC Department of Transportation. About half a mile of improvements have been made according to a post on the SCDOT Facebook page. Crews are also paving on Airport Road to improve about two and a half additional miles and upgrade pedestrian access points, too.

This project is one of several that are part of SCDOT’s 2026 Pavement Improvement Program.
