Chapin defeats Brookland-Cayce in football
Chapin traveled to Brookland-Cayce Friday night and defeated the Bearcats 38-20.
BC quarterback Reed Charpia is injured and did not play. Sophomore Malachi Brown replaced Charpia.
The Eagles jumped out early and were ahead of BC 35-0 at the half. The Bearcats scored three TDs in the second half, including a 65-yard-run by Brown. But it was not enough.
Head coach Rusty Charpia said his son Reed has a sprained ACL. He said he expects he will be out of action one-to-three weeks.
