Cayce’s SC Lumber and Supply is in the Business Spotlight!
Do you want good quality lumber at discounted prices? SC Lumber and Supply at 2245 Julius Felder St, 2B, in Cayce, can help you.

“We sell wood for floors, walls and ceilings,” said Tom Reke, who runs SC Lumber and Supply, with Guy Bauknight. “The products we sell may have character knots, that are considered imperfections, but our focal point is the kind of customer who has a natural interior design goal.”
With a large stock of surplus, or factory-second wood, SC Lumber and Supply opened seven years ago in Cayce and the business has grown since it opened, with Tom at the helm. Some of the products sold are offered at one-third the price of retail and customers come from as far away as Florida for the cost savings.
There are 13 Lumber and Supply locations, including Charleston and Greer, throughout six Southeastern states. The HQ is in Asheboro, NC. Tom said he loves doing business in Cayce and he is firmly rooted.
“We have a great relationship with Steel Hands Brewery,” he said. Tom, who plays guitar, performed a benefit at Steel Hands to raise donations for North Carolina hurricane victims.

Cayce City Councilman Byron Thomas represents the district in which Lumber and Supply sits. He said Lumber and Supply is a business that gives back.
“Tom accounted for enough donations to fill a 14-foot trailer with items for Hurricane Helene victims,” Thomas said. “We’re blessed to have Tom and Guy at Lumber and Supply as a part of the Cayce community. They have a heart of giving and they support other outreach programs, including Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns and Make-A-Wish. It’s why we should make every effort to shop locally and support this business in our backyard.”
As for Tom, he said he has a “phenomenal” relationship with the City of Cayce. “Cayce is a great business partner,” Tom said. “They have been very supportive of us.”
Tom also said he also has made many new friends from his work at Lumber and Supply. “I get to meet a lot of talented and creative people who get lumber from us. Many are do-it-yourself contractors. I love to hear about their projects and see the finished product.”
