Cayce’s Printgear is a fixture on Airport Boulevard, in the Business Spotlight

Printgear in Cayce is a landmark. The wall-tall blue letters on the front of the building at 1769 Airport Boulevard have proudly identified the business for more than 30 years.

Printgear is a distributor of printable sportswear and accessories serving the sports apparel industry. The company offers a wide range of products, including t-shirts, sports shirts, outerwear, bags, totes, and aprons.

The PrintGear Sportswear Distributor was founded in 1989. In the spring of this year, the PrintGear Sportswear Distributor was acquired by Atlantic Coast Cotton.

Julene Lake lives in Cayce. She has been with Printgear, in the sales department, for more than 20 years.

“We love it here in Cayce,” Julene said. “We love Airport Boulevard and all the businesses around us. And we’re glad to see more coming in.”

Cayce City Council recently approved a $610,000 multi-phase beautification plan to improve Airport Boulevard.

“We will use the money to give the area close to the airport a massive facelift,” said Dist. 3  Cayce City Councilman Hunter Sox, who represents the area.

Julene said she welcomes the Beautification upgrades. “We’re so close to the Airport and it’s the first impression. It needs to look good,” she said.

Sox said he’d like to extend the Beautification project to even more of Airport Boulevard in the future.

Sox also lauded Printgear for employing so many local citizens like Julene. She said that Sox, as her councilman, is always responsive and responsible regarding issues she has contacted the City of Cayce about.

Sox said Printgear is a great local business and he is pleased to have it in Cayce. “Printgear has provided many jobs over the years for a lot of families. The business is a great community partner. Cayce is so lucky to have Printgear here.”
