George Roberts restaurant at 1301 State Street in Cayce had its Grand Opening on Thursday, attended by Cayce Mayor Elise Partin.

The parking lot was full with cars, trucks, SUVs, a golf cart and even a motorcycle or two. And every seat in the house was taken as the clientele dined on artisan pizza, oysters, crab cakes, tacos and scallops.

On the back porch the crowd gathered in for Greg Bickley and Tokyo Joe, with Greg’s mom Danette Bickley there to see her son put on a show. It was a successful event for the much-anticipated and highly popular new place to dine in Cayce.
