The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a two-vehicle crash fatal accident which occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

The crash occurred on Interstate 26 eastbound at mile marker 113 in West Columbia.
According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Olivia K. Johnson, 21, of Cayce was a passenger in a vehicle which was struck from behind. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Johnson was transported to Lexington Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead from the injuries she sustained in the accident.

Three other individuals were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
