Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died after being struck by a vehicle about 4 p.m., Monday, in the 5800 block of Edmund Highway near Pelion.

According to Fisher, Ms. Lisa Claudine Fry, 47, of Cayce was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital due to her injuries. The vehicle in which Ms. Fry had been traveling became disabled, which led her to exiting the vehicle. She was in the road when she was struck by an approaching vehicle.

The other occupant of Ms. Fry’s vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were uninjured. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
