Cayce-West Columbia Parade of Lights is Saturday
The Cayce-West Columbia Holiday Parade of Lights is Saturday.
The night-time parade begins at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of 12th and Meeting Street in West Columbia. It proceeds, with more than 100 entries, down 12th Street into Cayce and ends at the City of Cayce’s Municipal Complex.
“There was more intrest in the parade than ever before,” said Gregg Pinner, president and CEO of the Greate rCayce-West Columbia Holiday Parade of Lights. He said the limit on the number of participants reached capacity this year- sooner that it ever had before.
There are more than 100 entries in the parade that begins after dark- and includes heavily-lighted pedestrians and units.
Spectators will line 12th Street, sometimes three-or-four deep for the much-anticipated parade. Groups and organizations- including many churches- will provide hot drinks and refreshments along the way.
