Cayce-West Columbia 17-Under Baseball Team Wins World Series in dramatic fashion

The Cayce-West Columbia 17-Under (Pre-Majors) Boys Baseball team defeated the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department (JPRD) Gamecocks 6-5, to win the Youth Baseball World Series, Tuesday. The World Series was played in Sterlington, La.

Chase Starkey had 4 hits for C-WC. MJ Hornsby pitched 4.2 inning in relief for C-WC. He didn’t allow any runs. C-WC had 12 hits. Cole Adams, Tate Harris, Chase Starkey and Quinn Williams each has an RBI for C-WC. JP Sweat has 2 hits, according to Gamestream. The C-WC 17-U team plays its regular season games at Howard Park in West Columbia.
