According to WIS-TV: “Documents state that on March 29, Timo (age 34) engaged in sexual acts with the woman in the vicinity of his police vehicle while on duty in the parking lot of the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center. The warrant also alleges Timo was in his department-issued uniform at the time of the encounter.”

The warrant states Timo reportedly admitted to the allegations and also cited a witness statement.

SLED said Timo was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.

Given the seriousness of the allegation, Cayce Police Chief Bruce Wade immediately referred the matter to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for an independent and thorough investigation.

Michael Timo has been arrested and charged with Misconduct in Office. He was hired in October of 2022, and was formally let go from the Department on Friday, June 6.

This investigation and adjudication process are ongoing, and all further questions should be directed to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
