On Friday, at approximately 7:15 am, the Cayce Police Department responded to Guignard Park on Knox Abbott Drive where a male, with a gun and in all black clothing, attempted to assault a female. 

The suspect fled the scene. Cayce Police immediately deployed a K9 and officers to track the suspect. Cayce Police are heavily patrolling the area and asking for help from the public. Cayce wants its citizens to be on alert and are asking for assistance from the public. Another way the public can assist with the investigation and search is if you have any ring camera footage or other security footage that could be helpful to our officers, please call 803-794-0456.
