The Cayce Police Department and the Lexington 2 school district hosted the Blossom and Beau’s Spring Ball Saturday evening. Culinary Arts students from the Lexington Two Innovation Center and the Fulmer Middle School Beta Club helped treat many of the district’s special education students to pizza, chicken wings and punch after they worked up an appetite on the dance floor. Jessica Zearfoss. a Fulmer Middle School special education teacher, organized the event.

“It’s a night just for them,” said Cayce Police Chief Chris Cowan. The School Resource Officers from the schools also attended. Cowan said the officers are involved in the community and the Ball gave them a chance to treat the students.
