Cayce Police Department unveiling “Blessing Box” on Friday, in support of local crime victims
The Cayce Police Department is extending an invitation to the members of the media and to the public to come support local victims of crime at the unveiling of our new “Blessing Box” on Friday, April 19, at 3 PM, at the Cayce Police Department, located at 2 Lavern Jumper Road.
Cayce City staff, Cayce Mayor and members of Cayce City Council, Chief Cowan, Sheriff Koon and Sheriff Lott are scheduled to be in attendance.
The Blessings Box initiative will kick-off National Victims Rights’ Week, April 21-27, 2024.
The theme for this year is “How can you help? Options, services, and hope for crime
survivors.” The Cayce Police Department will also be taking part in Denim Day, on April
24th, during National Victims Rights’ Week.
The Blessing Box will give local agencies, community members, and businesses an
opportunity to help fill the box which will benefit anyone who may be in need and be a
blessing to someone. Anyone can leave behind or take a needed item. The Blessing Box
will contain items such as nonperishable food items, diapers, tissues, individually wrapped
toilet paper, books, new toys, and resource brochures.
