Cayce Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at Alight Apartments, 800 Alexander Drive, on Sept. 9. The victim, Mr. Jalen Allen, of Columbia died of gunshot wounds after he was transported to a local hospital by EMS. Cayce Police officers believe the homicide was an isolated incident. Cayce detectives are working to make an arrest to bring justice to Mr. Allen’s family and friends.

Since the homicide occurred, Cayce Police detectives have followed every lead; processed evidence; and have interviewed witnesses and individuals regarding the incident. The Cayce Police Department is waiting on the forensics analysis of items believed to be associated with this homicide.
