
Cayce Mayor Elise Partin Appointed Vice Chair of National League of Cities Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee
Elise Partin, Mayor of Cayce, SC, has been appointed to Vice Chair of the National League of Cities (NLC) 2026 Energy, Environment and Natural Resources (EENR) Federal Advocacy Committee. Mayor Partin was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on sustainability, climate change, community resilience, water infrastructure, solid waste management and more. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kevin Kramer, Councilmember from Louisville, Kentucky.

“Cayce is the 6 th largest water and wastewater provider in SC. Serving on the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Federal Advocacy Committee is the best place for us to share our insights and to advocate on behalf of all our nation’s cities and towns,” said Mayor Partin. “Helping to support the resolutions that NLC advocates for regarding everything from economic development tools like Brownfields to energy, air quality, waste management and more is impactful.”
As Vice Chair of the EENR Committee, Mayor Partin will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocating on behalf of America’s cities, towns and villages before Congress, with the administration and at home in Cayce, SC.

The leadership of 2026 EENR Committee consists of Chair Jan Kulmann, Mayor of Thornton, Colorado; Vice Chair Elise Partin, Mayor of Cayce, South Carolina and Vice Chair Abbie Kamin, Councilmember from Houston, Texas.
First elected in 2008, Mayor Partin is Cayce’s first female mayor. She has been recognized for her meaningful, measurable track record of success, her common-sense leadership that has created a cleaner, safer, healthier Cayce, and real solutions for the hardworking taxpaying families of Cayce, creating more economic freedom and peace of mind.
