Paving, new mast arm traffic lights and a removed median are upgrades to the intersection at Knox-Abbott and Charleston Highway in Cayce.

The remodeling of the intersection is all but done.  It includes  new sidewalks, stop lights, and street paving, said Tara Greenwood, Special Projects and Grants Coordinator for the City of Cayce.

“The Wal-Mart off-site work will be complete this week,” said Greenwood.

The Walmart Neighborhood Grocery at the intersection will hold a grand opening June 29.
