A high-profile structure in the City of Cayce is about to get some attention.
Eric Henn, a nationally renowned mega-muralist, is scheduled to begin painting “Carolina Sunset” (aka the Gamecock Water Tank Mural.) The tower is on Charleston Highway. It’s a Public Works of HeART project.

Public Works of HeART is creating a Facebook page just for the mural, so you’ll be able to tag your photos and watch the whole process.

Work on painting the water tank will begin on May 16. Sponsors can buy space, for their name, on the tank.  The tower is at the USC golf team practice facility,  in Cayce. It’s the only Gamecock athletic facility in Lexington County.

Henn will be painting the 80-foot-tall mural for four to five weeks.
